Re: Conversion of Barking Dog Tactics

I think this gets cleared up in the comments of the starting position of chess. You will want to jump to the named positions (puzzles).

Choose Go | Jump To Board Name...

Older ebooks to the 2016 format

Do you have ebooks in the legacy format, from Chess Openings Wizard? The new Chess Openings Wizard 2016 keeps ebooks in a new single-file .4MD format. To get your ebooks in the new format, run COW 2016 for Windows. (The Macintosh version will not be able to read older Windows ebooks.) Use File |Open...

Re: Entering moves

Cannot right click a move and then delete it. The drop down from the old version does not appear. The pace of moves is slow I know that this is a new feature but how is it adjusted. Transferring files from old to new version, I guess that converting e book to game and uploading to the new version w...

Re: Improvements

The following are my notes as of Build 60 on Windows 10. 1. Books do not recall their window positions internally. Adjustments lost on close. 2. Algebraic notation should be optionally visible. 3. Context Menu features bound to window preferences / Past Moves / Candidates / Comments / Board / ETC /...

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I'm getting a user32.dll error with Windows 10. A: The user32.dll error comes up with Windows 10 when some windows are opened. It has never been known to cause a problem (other than being annoying). It's another good reason to move up to the 2016 version. Q: Can I get the 2016 version? A: Yes, if...
