Re: London II

Sorry about the wrong format in that automatic email.

You should be able to log in and get the book in any format including a Mac disk image (DMG) file that has the ebook in the .4MD format.

Then visit the "System (ebooks)" tab.

Re: macOS 10.13.1 (17B48) Issue?

I've not tried MacOS 10.13.1 and I suppose it's conceivable that the new OS is causing the problem.

Re: Typing Moves

There should be a move entry box in COW just like the one in Bookup. It has the word "Move" to the left of it.

Re: Import ebook, add ebook options are gone

Import Ebook and Add Ebook are database combining functions that are part of the power tools found in the Professional version of COW. The Express version would not have had them.

Re: Move window on upper right side of COW 2016 PRO

The Move entry area is for those who enter moves faster by touch typing. You can type in "Nf3" and press enter and it will add that move or play it if it's already a candidate move. The certainty slider is for showing how certain you are of the evaluation. For example, the Informant symbol...

Re: ETA for iOS Version?

There is no official timetable. I am aiming for Christmas 2017. Which means the mobile version is close. :) I'd originally wanted to finish the iPad version first and then turn to Android but there was more than enough interest in Android to slow down the process to get them both done at about the s...

Re: Importing PGNs on Mac Express

Yes, that requires a batch backsolve. You'll want to backsolve the ebook after importing games.

Real time backsolving works but you'd have to move up and down the tree to have it recalculate.

Re: "G" annotation missing?

I just duplicated the problem with the missing 'G' which must have happened in the last update. I'll get that on my list.

"Find Games with this Move Order" is also on my list. It works... but not quite the way it's supposed to.

Re: Backsolving Transpositions

Hey Mike, You seem to think that a "transpositional" move is different somehow from other moves. All moves are the same. There is also nothing in the system that marks a move as having been deleted. If it's been deleted, it's just as "gone" as any other move that hasn't been ente...
