Upcoming Diagrams

Thanks for helping test my new diagrams for MasterChess 5000, the upcoming secret projects from GM Susan Polgar and future versions of Bookup.

This new diagram has options for:

  • big arrows
  • small arrows
  • red dots
  • blue dots
  • red X's
  • two shades of square highlighting
  • five piece sets (Krill, Linares, Hastings, Zurich, Merida)
  • optional colors and/or background textures
  • scaling for very large monitors

Known issues (bugs):

  • When flipped, dragging a piece will refresh the wrong piece.
  • The Texture changing buttons do not work.
  • Some users have the first screens appearing hidden behind the graphics screen.  Try pressing Enter, Tab, Enter to get around them.

Here is a screen shot of one of the options from the diagram:

By helping to test this new diagram you are helping to bring a more pleasurable experience to thousands of Bookup and MasterChess users. First, download the demo program.

Then please do these basic tests:

Click the Clear Marks button.  The markings should disappear.

Click the Animate Move button.

Drag the bishop from f1 to a6.  That move should be animated immediately after you drop the bishop on a6.

Click the Settings... button. Change the piece set to Linares and click OK. The diagram should switch to the Linares piece set

Please try clicking the Settings... button and unchecking the Textures in Squares and Textures in Frame options. Be sure the colors are working.

Have a very large monitor?  Please expand the window as large as it will go and use the bar to the right of the diagram to expand the diagram to its largest size.  Let me know how it works.

Please email me your comments - Thanks!  mikeleahy at bookuppro.com
