Re: Problem with Game Trees files

Hello, rekh! Some questions for you: Assume you're working with with COW 132 and Win 10, Correct? After getting the two pop-up messages, does COW continue to its opening window or does it halt? If it does proceed to the opening window, you can tell the program the locations of Pedigree... and ECOMAS...

Re: Feature request: Ability to add arrows, square hightlight

This is listed in 'Suggestions '(2nd to last) on:

https://www.bookup.com/home/chess-openi ... am-status/

but is classified as a low priority.

Re: Bug: Position symbol value is fixed

This appears to be a problem with ALL rate symbols, i.e.: +-, -+, +/-, -/+, +/=, and =/+ in File / Preferences. You can highlight the numerical value and type in a number larger than 100 for any of them but it reverts back to 100 by itself.

Don't see any workaround, good catch.

Re: User Experience.

Hi, FreeRepublic, In another post, you state your tablet screen does not autorotate. This may be because the "Autorotate" setting is turned off. Swipe down from the top of the display twice. You should see an icon labeled Auto rotate, looks something like a small phone surrounded by two ci...

Re: switch board colors

The following is referring to COW Pro, Build 113.

In a board window, under menu item "Commands", is "White At Bottom". Clicking on it will toggle between White at the bottom and Black at the bottom.

I am referring to COW build 92 in the following.

Open desired Ebook.

Under the 'Commands' menu are the options 'Select Speed Learning Positions'
and 'Start Speed Learning'.

Re: Using COW Professional - Basic questions

Regarding the three segment bar: Included with COW is a GrandMaster tree file named Pedigree2600.GMT . Found in x/Chess Openings Wizard 2016/Data Files/Game Trees where x is the installation drive. This is the only .GMT extension file found in a search of my computer. Open an ebook and find a move w...

Re: Using COW Professional - Basic questions

From the help file for Bookup 2000: <start> What do those numbers mean to the right of the candidate moves? The top number[Note: the rightmost number in the current version of COW Pro] shows the number of branches in the tree beyond the candidate move. This is handy to see where the bulk of the anal...

Re: Using COW Professional - Basic questions

Hi, FreeRepublic, Re: your questions. 2. This is the number of lines following the candidate move. If there are two lines AFTER the candidate move and each of these branches into two lines, the number you should be seeing is 4. 3. Allows you to type in a candidate move either to add a new one or sel...
