Let’s Get Started
If you haven’t figured it out already, this is going to be different than working with any other app.
I’m the programmer. I’ve been doing this for 38 years with grandmasters all the way down to students who are learning their first opening system.
You have my email address. You have my phone number. If you have questions, there is no way they won’t be answered. (If you ever have the privilege of using an app where the programmer himself will respond to your questions then by all means purchase that app.)
And it will be work. I wasn’t kidding about the work. I trust you enjoy the work of getting stronger at chess.
Personally I think working with power tools makes the process even more fun, but you are the kind of person who does not shy away from hard mental effort – or you wouldn’t have chosen chess for your sport.
(If for some reason you’re reading this and you have no desire to get better at chess then you might want to unsubscribe from my email list or we will both end up annoying each other.) 😀
The work will pay off. You will see results in your games from using Chess Openings Wizard or I will refund your investment. So will Google Play and the Apple app store.
While the Android and iPad versions are less expensive, I am going to recommend starting with the Macintosh or Windows app. It’s $67 for the Express version and $197 for the Professional version.
There is no penalty if you start with the Express version. You can apply the full $67 price of your Express version towards the cost of the Professional version at any time. (You get a private login for that discount when you own the Express version.)
Most players use the Express version. It has everything you need to create a model of your repertoire and then train yourself.
The Professional version adds some incredible power tools but most of them (to be useful) require that you first outline your opening plans. As much as I know you will love the Professional version, I’d sooner talk you out of it for now, if it means you will jump in right away with the Express version and get your openings to a new level.
