MasterChess – How to reset core settings

Sometimes things get so messed up that you have to try resetting everything about MasterChess.

To reset the installer settings for Windows, including the chosen folder for PGN files, you must use RegEdit to remove this registry entry:

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Bookup\MasterChess 9000\Installer Settings

To reset the program settings for the Windows app, delete the .INI files in this folder:

C:\Users\Mike\AppData\Roaming\Bookup\MasterChess

Substitute your computer username where it says Mike.

To reset the program settings for the Macintosh app, delete the .INI files in this folder:

Users/Mike/Bookup/MasterChess

Substitute your computer username where it says Mike.
